Commodity "Cee" Sections.

In most cases the optimum size of section will be 3 5/8ths x 1 5/8ths with 1/2in lip.   Other sizes may be of less cost but the lack of availability makes them unattractive for all but specific applications.  Several gauges are normally available and the section is suited to a wide range of structural uses.

Clinch Fastening

Clinch fastening using BTM's Tog-L-Loc® is over 5 times more cost effective, compared to fixing with self drilling self tapping screws in an industrialised house framing application.

The greater the number of connections the greater the cost benefit.
Initial cost of equipment may be offset by lease agreements and the absence of ongoing fastener costs improves cash flow.
